In recognition of the responsibility to this membership, NODA reaffirms its policy of fair and equal treatment in all practices to all persons regardless of race, color, age, marital status, gender, religion, natural origin, ancestry, sexual/affectional orientation, disability or veteran status.

NODA Grant Funds

In the fall of 2003, the NODA Executive Board created a grant fund to support member-driven initiatives, including regional and association programming and projects. Grant funds have been used in the past to assist with the funding of conferences, drive-in workshops, meeting sessions and more. NODA welcomes grant proposals that advance its mission and can include programs, initiatives, or research.

The total Grant Fund is comprised of $3000, divided into grants not to exceed $500 per request or per program/initiative/research. To ensure an equitable distribution of the funds, no exceptions to the individual grants are given. In addition, to make sure that all members of NODA have an equal opportunity to access these funds, selection criteria and a timeline have been established for the grant fund requests:

Recipients of these funds must be a current NODA member and provide an assessment of the program associated with the approved Grant. It is NODA’s intent to be good stewards of the membership’s funds. Thus, funding provided by this program should make a difference to the membership and support NODA’s mission. A program assessment is essential and funding is not available to programs that do not provide the required assessment in a timely manner.

NODA Grant Fund Time-line:

• January 1 - April 1– Applications accepted for applicants seeking funding - Applications are now closed for FY 2012
• May 1-May 21– Applicants are notified of whether funding has been granted
• July 1– Funds become available for funded Grants
